Socks - Entrée de port, Portrieux
French artist Paul Signac worked within the Neo-Impressionist school of painting. His love for sailing and the sea shines through in this view of the seaside town of Portrieux in Brittany, one of his favored haunts. Signac uses characteristically bold brushstrokes and a minimal palette to represent the movement and textures of sky, sea, and sand.
